16. Installing the provided software
Step 1. Preparations before software installation
First, ensure that any previous versions of the software have been uninstalled.
If you are re-installing efergy elink software, you must uninstall any previous versions of the elink
software and any files/folders related to it before installing the new version.
Note: Follow these installation instructions carefully.
1. Make sure that the latest versions of Adobe AIR and Java are installed on your computer
before beginning to install the provided software (efergy elink).
2. Check that the latest versions of Java and Adobe AIR are installed on your computer. If not,
install the missing software and re-start your computer. There is an icon for Java on your
Control Panel, click on the icon to see which version you have. It is advised that you update
to the latest version.
A. Retrieve Adobe AIR from get.adobe.com/air/ or ADOBE’s website. You might need to
disable your antivirus software temporarily to enable the installation.
