INFORMATION ON DISC COMPATIBILITY
∙The operating characteristics of some DVD discs are specifi ed by the software maker.
Please refer to the instruction manual of the disc for further instructions.
∙This DVD Player will play most recordable (CD-R) or erasable (CD-RW) CDs, but play-
back of CD-R or CD-RW discs created by a computer requires proper formatting and
fi nalization of the disc for audio playback. Some computers and/or software programs
may not be capable of creating compatible discs which will affect playback, and is not
a defect of this playback device.
disc terminology:
title:
Generally, pictures or music compressed on a DVD are divided into several sections,
called a “title”.
chapter:
The smaller segment of picture or music within a DVD under the title; a title is comprised
of one or more chapters, each numbered for easy searching. Certain discs may not have
a recorded chapter and can vary by title and region of manufacture.
track:
A segment of picture or music on a CD or disc, with each track being numbered for easy
searching.
