5.4 General settings
5.4.1 Talking settings
Talking time – determined maximum talking time,
Dialling time – maximum time for dialling and time for picking up set by fitter, dialling time =
ringing time + time to pick up ,
Ringing time – time within which the ring tone is audible,
Picked up ringing time – time within which a handset connected to the panel rings with special
tone - signalling incorrect receiver putting down,
Redirect unused numbers – option allows redirecting unused (numbers outside range)
numbers to other selected number, e.g. gatehouse,
Talking time
Talking time can be adjusted within 1 to 255 seconds. Maximum talking time prevents the situation when
too long conversation precludes using the entry phone by other users. To change the maximum talking
time:
§ Enter the menu Settings ( code )
§ Select General settings (confirm with „ ” )
§ Select Talking settings (confirm with „ ” )
§ Select Talking time (confirm with „ ” )
§ Screen informing about current setting appears (NOW = X, where X is a number
within 1 to 255 and means the maximum talking time in seconds) to change, press „ ”
§ Message appears „SWITCH TO”, in order to enter time in seconds (time
within 1– 255 seconds) and confirm with key „ ” (cancel with „#”).
Default value is 45 seconds.
Dialling time
Dialling time can be set within the range 1-99s. This covers the whole time the panel can use per unit trial of
dialling. It is equal to a ringing time + time of waiting for picking up the receiver by a user. It cannot be
exceeded. In case of selecting longer ringing time - only the waiting time is reduced, but the dialling time
remains as set. To change the time:

§ Select Dialling time (confirm with „ ” )
