4 Perform horizontal alignment
Horizontal alignment is a three-step process:
1.
Enter machine dimensions (Enter Dimensions).
2. Rotate the laser and sensor to acquire alignment data (Sweep Heads).
3. Review the required vertical and horizontal machine moves and align the
machine (Move Machine).
These steps are covered in detail in the topics that follow.
4.1 Enter machine dimensions
This is the first step in performing horizontal alignment. After completing this
step, the Enter Dimensions function on the Laser Align Application main
menu is marked with an X.

Prerequisites
1. Ensure the laser and sensor are mounted on the machines.
2. Create and/or activate an alignment job and set up the job parameters.
An alignment job is needed to perform alignment.
