  The EMP Water Pump may not run at the commanded speed due to the system design. A high downstream circuit flow restriction or a low fluid operating temperature (increased fluid viscosity) can cause the pump to reach its electrical current limit, which will reduce its speed to prevent excessive heat buildup in the controller. Also, using heavier weight oil may be the cause. For pumps on CAN, the controller will provide a status reason why the motor is not at commanded speed.
