8.1.3 Entering the software license code: via FieldCare
Open FieldCare:
1. Open the connection wizard
2. Open the communication protocol, select "Service"
3. Select the communication DTM, open "CDI Communication TCP/IP"
4. Check the interface settings (IP address)
5. Open the "Expert" directory
6. Navigation:
• Open the "Expert" directory
• Open the "System" directory
• Open the "Administration" directory
• In the "Activate SW option" subdirectory, enter the SW license code (appl. package code) and
press Enter to confirm
7. Check the activated software option(s) that are displayed in the "Software option overview"
subdirectory
8. Activate the device either using the factory code ("0000") or the entry code defined by the
customer ( do not enter the service code). Ask the customer if you do not know the entry
code. The new code can only be entered in the "Maintenance" user role.
Switch the I/O functionality, activate I/O hardware:
Open FieldCare:
1. Open the connection wizard
2. Open the communication protocol, select "Service"
3. Select the communication DTM, open "CDI Communication TCP/IP"
4. Check the interface settings (IP address)
5. Open the "Expert" directory
6. Navigation:
• Open the "Expert" directory
• Open the "I/O configuration" directory
• In the "Alteration code" subdirectory, enter the SW license code (I/O alteration code) and
press Enter to confirm
7. Check that the new I/O function(s) is/are displayed in the subdirectory "I/O module" 2/3/4
Check the data on the wired-on tag plate:
Wired-on tag plate for DK5009, DK50011, DK8009, DK80011:
• Serial number of device
• New order code
• Software license code to be entered (appl. package code)
