4. If the document mat gets dirty, clean it with a so dry cloth.
If the document mat is very dirty, dampen a
so
cloth with mild detergent and water, wring it out thoroughly,
and then wipe o any remaining stains. Aer that, use a so dry cloth to wipe the mat.

Transporting the Scanner
If you need to transport your scanner some distance, follow the steps below to pack the scanner.
1. Make sure the carriage is in the home position at the front of the scanner.
If the carriage is not in the home position, connect the scanner to the computer with a USB cable to turn on
the scanner, and wait until the carriage moves to the home position.
