Scanning Takes a Long Time
Try scanning your original at a lower resolution setting to speed up scanning.

USB 2.0 port with the scanner, make sure it meets the system requirements.
Scanned Image Problems
The Edges of Your Original Are Not Scanned
In Home Mode,
Oce
Mode, or Professional Mode in EPSON Scan, move the originals about 2.5 mm (0.1
inches) away from the horizontal and vertical edges of the scanner glass to avoid cropping.
In Full Auto Mode or thumbnail preview in EPSON Scan, move the original 6.0 mm (0.24 inches) away from
the edges of the scanner glass.
Do not use the scanner stand, and place the base of the scanner directly on a at, stable surface.
