SW1-1:When ON. this pin sets the column length to 132 characters per
line. When OFF, this pin sets the column length to 80 characters
per line.
SWl-2: Setting this pin to the ON position prints character "0" (zero
with slash).
SW1-3:This pin is used to activate or deactivate the paper end detector.
When this pin is turned ON, the paper end detect function
becomes invalid upon power application and the printer is
allowed to operateevenifout of paper. With the printerinthis
state, input off control code "ESC9 will permit the paper end
detector to be activated again.

GENERAL
SW1-4: Download characters can be defined by setting this pin to the
OFF position.
SWl-5:This pin, when in the ON position, sets the printer to the
Emphasized mode upon power application. When OFF, this pin
sets the printer to the Normal mode.
SW1-6,SW1-7, SW1-8: Combined use of these three pins permits
selection of an international character set. (table 6-5).
