9-2 Maintenance
For Macintosh users
Follow the steps below to use the Nozzle Check utility.
1. Access the Print or Page Setup dialog box and click the
Utility icon button, then click the Nozzle Check button in
the Utility dialog box.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Using the control panel buttons
Follow the steps below to check the print head nozzles using the
control panel buttons.
1. Turn off your printer.
2. Make sure that A4 size paper is loaded in the sheet feeder.
3. Hold down the
b
maintenance button (➀ in the illustration
below) and press the
P
power button (➁ in the illustration
below) to turn on the printer.
4. Release only the
P
power button first. When the nozzle check
starts, release the
b
maintenance button.
