Do not sit on the product or place heavy objects on top of it.
Do not move the print head by hand; this may damage the product.
Do not insert or drop metallic or flammable items into the openings on the product.
Do not spill liquid on the product or use the product with wet hands.
Do not insert or unplug the plug with wet hands.
Do not use aerosol products that contain flammable gases inside or around the product. Doing so may
cause fire.
Except as specifically explained in your documentation, do not attempt to service the product yourself.
Unplug the product and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: if
the power cord or plug is damaged; if liquid has entered the product; if the product has been dropped
or the cabinet damaged; if the product does not operate normally or exhibits a distinct change in
performance. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions.
When storing or transporting the product, do not tilt it, stand it on its side, or turn it upside down;
otherwise ink may leak.
Do not use the printer in locations with volatile substances such as alcohol or thinner, or near naked
flames. An electric shock or fire could occur.
Do not use the product if it is giving off smoke or if you notice any abnormal odors or noises. An
electric shock or fire could occur. If any abnormalities occur, turn off the power and unplug the power
cable immediately, then contact your dealer or Epson Support.
Only route the cables as indicated in the Start Here sheet. When connecting cables or optional
accessories, make sure they are installed in the correct direction and that you follow the procedures
exactly.
When opening and closing the roll paper cover, keep your hands away from the joint between the
cover and the body of the product.
If any foreign objects or liquids enter the printer, stop using it immediately. An electric shock or fire
could occur. Turn off the power and unplug the power cable immediately and then contact your dealer
or Epson Support.
Keep your fingers away from the paper ejection rollers when the power is on and during printing. If
your fingers get caught in the paper ejection rollers, they could be injured. Make sure the paper has
been completely ejected before you pick it up.
When removing jammed paper, do not forcibly pull out the paper or the paper cassette, and do not
remove jammed paper from an unstable posture. The sudden momentum of pulling out the paper or
paper cassette could result in injury.
