• Paper must not be glued to the roll paper core.
• Use liner-free label paper that has a core with anti-sticking treatment.
• The width of core should be the same as the paper width, or smaller within the range of 1 mm or
less. (Within the roll paper winding width)
• When marking the end of paper on the printed surface, use ink that does not adversely affect the
printing and thermal head.
• Even when using labels that has glue on its entire surface, use one that has no glue in the range of
1 mm or more from the paper edge.
• To ensure good print quality, it is recommended to set the print density (
"Software Settings" on
page 78
) according to the paper to be used.
• It is recommended that you avoid using thermal paper that has been preprinted on the recording
surface. Using such paper can cause the thermal head to stick to the thermal paper surface during
printing, and cause printing failure and other problems. The pre-printing also can result in reduced
print density. When using thermal paper that has been preprinted on the recording surface,
perform preprinting according to the conditions recommended by the paper manufacturer (ink
type, printing conditions, etc.), and confirm in advance that there are no printing defects, reduced
printing density, or other problems with the thermal paper.
