Power connection with fuses
The power connection is via a non-heating appliance socket. The unit fuses
are also here.
Line filter motor
The line filter compensates for the EMC interference of the motor. The line
filter is connected to the motor by a copper band.
Motor control
The motor is controlled by a PWM signal. Control is via an optical coupler
as well as another electrically isolated supply voltage.
EEProm filter
In order to query the filter status, an EEProm is integrated in the filter. In
this EEProm, the operating time of the filter is monitored, among other
things. The EEProm is addressed via an SPI bus.
ECB interface (ECB = ERBE Communication Bus)
The IES 2 can be controlled entirely via the electrically isolated ECB inter-
face. All IES 2 functions can be availed of. The signal is generated by the
ECB interface contained in the processor. Electrical isolation occurs using
two optical couplers and another transformer winding. The levels are gen
-
erated via a corresponding interface module.
Buttons
The system is operated using six buttons. Some of the buttons additionally
have an LED, which is controlled by the processor. The buttons are inter
-
rogated via the processor, while the software carries out debouncing.
