Status Byte Register (STB)

Bit 0 ~ 3:
Not used.
Bit 4:
MAV- Message Available
Data is available in the Output Buffer. Bit set to 1 when response to
query placed in output buffer. Bit set to 0 when output terminator has
sent to host.
Bit 5:
ESB Event Status
It’s set to 1 when one or more of enabled events in the Event Status
Register have occurred.
To determine which events have occurred,
send the meter "*ESR?" to read the Event Status Register.
Bit 6:
RQS/MSS - Request Service / Master Summary Status.
Set to 1 if any enabled bit in the STB and SRE register is set to 1,
otherwise set to 0. Status of MSS bit returned by “*STB?” command.
The meter asserts the SRQ control line on the IEEE-488 interface
when RQS bit is set to 1.
Bit 7:
Not Used.
Notes:
1. The Status Byte Register can be read with either a serial poll or the * STB?
query.
2. The register is cleared at power up.
Service Request Enable Register (SRE)
The Service Request Enable Register that enables or disables (i.e., masks)
corresponding summary messages in the Status Byte Register. The SRE is cleared
at power up. Refer to Status Byte Register for the bit functions.
Use *SRE to write to this register and *SRE? to read this register.
