Display Illumination
eSID reads the status on the built-in light sensor inside the SID and filters this value to control the
intensity of the display. This is done automatically and it is not possible to manually override the
intensity value when eSID is active.
If Night Panel is active at the same time as the eSID, then the illumination will be fixed to an extra
low intensity value independent on the light sensor status.
A direct consequence of eSID controlling the display is that the ICM loses the value from the light
sensor and therefor enters “failsafe” mode, which is “Night”, i.e. the illumination of the others
switches, ACC panel etc. will have a lower maximum light illumination value when controlling the
illumination using Rheostat +/-.
