The COM Express Type 1 module specifies three power rails, +12V, +5V standby and an
RTC input all of which are provided via the board-to-board connector from the carrier
board.
in the standalone implementation of the PROTEUS module the power rails are provided
on a PCB mounted connector on the side of the module, input power is protected from
over voltage and over current events.
On board backup battery used to power CMOS and RTC is available for both variants.
