Toturn,releasethepressureonthemotion
controllevertowardthedirectionyouwantto
turn.
Tostop,pushthemotioncontrolleverstoneutral.
StoppingtheMachine
Tostopthemachine:
1.Movethemotioncontrolleverstothecenter
(neutraloperateposition).
2.Disengagethebladecontrolswitch.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
•ForE-andS-SeriesModels,movethecontrol
leversoutwardfromthecenterintothe
T-slots.
•ForX-SeriesModels,pulltheleverupand
rearward.
4.Placethethrottleinthe“FAST”position.
5.Allowtheenginetorunforaminimumof15
seconds,thenturntheignitionswitchtothe
“OFF”position.Remembertoremovethekey
fromtheignitionswitch.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemowerwhileit
isunattended.
Alwaysdisengagethebladecontrolswitch,
engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethekey
whenleavingthemachineunattended,evenif
justforafewminutes.
AdjustingtheAnti-Scalp
Rollers
Itisrecommendedtochangetheanti-scalproller
positionwhentheheightofcuthaschanged.
1.Parkmachineonlevelground,disengagetheblade
controlswitch,engagetheparkingbrake,stop
engine,andremovekey.Waitforallmovingparts
tostopbeforeleavingtheoperator’sposition.
2.Afteradjustingtheheightofcut,adjustthe
anti-scalprollersbyremovingthenylocnut.
3.Adjusttheanti-scalprollersforthenormal
operatingconditions.Placerollersinoneof
thepositionsshowninFigure18.Rollerswill
maintain3/4inches(19mm)clearancetothe
groundtominimizegougingandrollerwearor
damage.
Note:ForMaximumDeckFlotation,place
therollersoneholepositionlower.Rollersshould
maintain1/4inch(6.35mm)clearancetothe
ground.DoNotadjustrollerstosupportthe
deck.
