Themowerhasahingeddischargedeectorthat
dispersesclippingstothesideanddowntowardthe
turf.
DANGER
Withoutthedischargedeector,mulchkit,or
entiregrasscollectionsystemmountedinplace,
youandothersareexposedtobladecontactand
throwndebris.Contactwithrotatingmower
blade(s)andthrowndebriswillcauseinjuryor
death.
•Neverremovethedischargedeectorfrom
themowerbecausethedischargedeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
dischargedeectoriseverdamaged,replace
itimmediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mower.
•Nevertrytocleardischargeareaormower
bladesunlessyoumovethebladecontrol
switchtoOffandrotatetheignitionkeyto
Off.Alsoremovethekeyandpullthewire
offthesparkplug(s).
AfterOperation
GeneralSafety
•Parkmachineonlevelground,disengagetheblade
controlswitch,engagetheparkingbrake,stop
engine,andremovekey.Waitforallmovingparts
tostopbeforeleavingtheoperator’sposition.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeservicing,
adjusting,fueling,cleaning,orstoring.
•Cleangrass,leaves,excessivegreaseoroil,and
otherdebrisfromthemowerdeck,mufer,drives,
grasscatcher,andengineareatohelpprevent
res.
•Closethefuelshut-offvalvebeforestoringor
transportingthemachine.
Transporting
TransportingtheMachine
Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthe
machine.Ensurethatthetrailerortruckhasall
necessarylightingandmarkingasrequiredbylaw.
Thoroughlyreadallofthesafetyinstructions.
Knowingthisinformationcouldhelpyou,your
family,pets,orbystandersavoidinjury.
Totransportthemachine:
•Lockthebrakeandblockthewheels.
•Besurethefuelshut-offvalveisclosed.
•Securelyfastenthemachinetothetrailerortruck
withstraps,chains,cable,orropes.Onlyusethe
designatedtie-downlocationsonthemoweras
showninFigure25.Usetheselocationseven
whentransportingthemowerwithanattached
accessory.Usingnon-designatedlocationsmay
causedamagetothemowerand/orattachment.
