morethan5secondsatatime.Iftheengine
failstostart,allowa60secondcool-down
periodbetweenattempts.Failuretofollow
theseinstructionscanburnoutthestarter
motor.
6.Oncetheenginestarts,graduallypushdownthe
chokecontrol(ifapplicable)astheenginewarms.
Iftheenginestallsorhesitates,slightlypullthe
controlupforafewseconds.
OperatingtheBlades
Thebladecontrolswitch,representedbyapower
take-off(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengages
powertothemowerblades.Thisswitchcontrols
powertoanyattachmentsthatdrawpowerfromthe
engine,includingthemowerdeckandcuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
1.Disengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Placethemotioncontrolleversinneutral.
3.Movethethrottlemidwaybetweenthe“SLOW”
and“FAST”positions.
Note:Alwaysengagethebladeswiththethrottle
inthemidwayposition.
4.Pulloutonthebladecontrolswitch,tothe“ON”
position,toengagetheblades.
