1/4quart(.2L)).Whentheoilcomesoutofthe
venthole,reinstalltheplugs.
Torqueplugsto180in-lb(244N-m).
5.Installthetransaxleguard.RefertoFigure58for
thecorrecttorquevaluesforthenutsandbolts.
6.ProceedtotheBleedingtheHydraulicSystem
section.

procedureafter
changinghydraulicltersandoilcanresult
inirreparabledamagetothetransaxledrive
system.
BleedingtheHydraulicSystem
1.Entertheoperator'sposition.Startengineand
movethrottlecontrolaheadto1/2throttle
position.Disengageparkingbrake.
A.Movethebypassleversintothepushingthe
machineposition;refertothePushingthe
MachinebyHandsectioninOperation.With
thebypassvalvesopenandtheenginerunning,
slowlymovethemotioncontrolleversinboth
forwardandreverse(5or6times).
B.Movethebypassleversintotheoperating
themachineposition.Withthebypassvalve
closedandtheenginerunning,slowlymove
thedirectionalcontrolinbothforwardand
reversedirections(5to6times).
C.Stoptheengineandchecktheoillevelinthe
ventplugholes.Addthespeciedoiluntilit
comesoutoftheventplugholes.
2.Repeatstep1untilalltheairiscompletelypurged
fromthesystem.
Whenthetransaxleoperatesatnormalnoise
levelsandmovessmoothlyforwardandreverseat
normalspeeds,thenthetransaxleisconsidered
purged.
3.Checktheoillevelbyremovingtheventplugs.
Addthespeciedoiluntilitreachestheventplug
holesifnecessary.

Maintainsharpbladesthroughoutthecuttingseason
becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.Tearingandshredding
turnsgrassbrownattheedges,whichslowsgrowth
andincreasesthechanceofdisease.
