IgnitionSwitch
Locatedoncontrolpanel.
Theignitionswitchisusedtostartandstopthe
engine.Theswitchhasthreepositions“OFF”,
“RUN”and“START”(
Figure4).Insertkeyinto
switchandrotateclockwisetothe“ON”position.
Rotateclockwisetothenextpositiontoengagethe
starter(keymustbeheldagainstspringpressurein
thisposition).

Note:Brakemustbeengaged(motioncontrollevers

TurningthekeytotheOffpositionwillstopthe
engine;however,alwaysremovethekeywhenleaving
themachinetopreventsomeonefromaccidentally
startingtheengine.
BladeControlSwitch(Power
Take-Off)
Locatedonthecontrolpanel.
Thebladecontrolswitch,representedbyapower
take-off(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengages
powertothemowerblades(see
Figure4).
Pulloutonthebladecontrolswitchto“On”to
engagetheblades.
Pushthebladecontrolswitchto“Off”todisengage
theblades.
ThrottleLever
Locatedoncontrolpanel.
Thethrottleisusedtocontrolenginespeed.Moving
throttleleverforwardwillincreaseenginespeedand
movingthrottlelevertotherearwilldecreaseengine
speed.Movingthethrottleforwarduntilitstopsis
fullthrottle(see
Figure4).
ChokeControl
Thechokeisusedtoaidinstartingacoldengine.
Pullinguponthechokecontrolwillputthechokein
the“ON”positionandpushingdownthecontrolwill
putthechokeinthe“OFF”position.DoNotruna
warmenginewiththechokeinthe“ON”position.
MotionControlLeversandParking
BrakePosition
Themotioncontrolleverslocatedoneachsideof
theseat(Figure3).
Themotioncontrolleversarespeedsensitivecontrols
ofindependentwheelmotors.Movingalever
forwardorbackwardturnsthewheelonthesameside
forwardorinreverse;wheelspeedisproportionalto
theamounttheleverismoved.Movingthecontrol
leversoutwardfromthecenterpositionengagesthe
parkingbrakeonthedrivewheels.Alwaysposition
themotioncontrolleversintotheparkingbrake
positionwhenyoustopthemachineorleaveit
unattended.Theunitmustbetieddownandbrake
engagedwhentransporting.

LocatedbelowtheRHmotioncontrollever
