3.Tokeepdirt,grassclippings,etc.,outof
theengine,cleantheareaaroundtheoilll
cap/dipstickbeforeremovingit.
4.Removetheoilllcap/dipstick;wipeoiloff.
Reinsertthedipstickpushintoplace,butDoNot
screwitin(

crankcase.Neveroperatetheenginewiththeoil
levelbelowthe“ ADD”markoroverthe“FULL”
markonthedipstick.

thereafter.
Changetheoilandlterwhiletheengineisstill
warm.Theoilwillowmorefreelyandcarryaway
moreimpurities.Makesuretheengineislevelwhen
lling,checking,orchangingtheoil.
1.Starttheengineandletitrununtilwarm.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Disengagethebladecontrolswitchandmovethe
motioncontrolsoutwardtotheparkingbrake
position.
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Cleantheareaaroundtheoildrainvalveandon
themachineframe.
5.Installtheoildrainhose,locatedintheliterature
pack,ontotheoildrainvalve(
Figure25).Remove
theoilllcap/dipstick.
