F.Performthefollowingsafetycheck:
a.Sitontheseatandstarttheengine.
b.MakesurethebladesDoNotengagewith
thePTOswitch“off”andtheclutch
disengaged.
Iftheclutchdoesnotdisengage,
reinstalltheshimandreferencethe
Troubleshootingsection.
c.EngageanddisengagethePTOswitch
tenconsecutivetimestoensuretheclutch
isfunctioningproperly.Iftheclutch
doesnotengageproperly,referencethe
Troubleshootingsection.
NeutralAdjustment
IfthemachinetravelsortheLCDindicatorlight
doesnotilluminatewhenthespeedcontrolleverisin
neutral,thenanadjustmentisrequired.
1.Stopengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.Engageparkingbrake.Raisetherearofthe
machineupontojackstandshighenoughtoraise
thedrivewheelsoffoftheground.
2.Releasetherearcushionfromtherearofthe
machine.
A.Checkthespeedcontrollinkageand
neutralsafetyswitch:
a.Withtheengineoff,turntheignition
switchtothe“ON”position.
b.LocatetheLCDindicatorinthemessage
display.

c.Withthespeedcontrolleverintheneutral
position,theneutralLCDindicatorshould
appear.
d.Iftheindicatorilluminates,pushthelever
ahead;theindicatorshoulddisappear
within3/4inch(19mm)amountoftravel.
Ifitexceedsthisdistance,anadjustment
totheneutralswitchisrequired.
e.Iftheindicatordoesnotilluminate,with
thespeedcontrolleverinthefullback
position,anadjustmenttotheneutral
switchisrequired.
f.Pullthespeedcontrolleverbackto
neutral.Checkthattheneutralsafety
switchactuatingtabhasdepressedthe
plungeroftheswitchsothatthereisabout
11/32inch(8.6mm)betweenthetaband
theswitch(seeFigure34).Ifnecessary,
movetheswitchforeandaft.
