MAINTENANCE
7 .1 - Generalities
Inadditiontotheabove-mentionedcleaningoperations,youshouldalsoperformroutine
maintenanceinordertoguaranteetheslicer’soperatingefficiencyovertime.
The operator may perform the following maintenance operations:
• Control blade sharpness:Inordertoobtaingoodperformance,thebladesmust
bewell-sharpened.Ifthebladesnolongercut,contactthemanufacturerofthe
machineoraknife-grinderforsharpening.
• Theappliancedoesnotrequirelubrication.
• Wheneverthecuttermakesanunusualnoiseafteracertainperiodoftime,which
isduetosettlingofthebelt,tightenthebelttensionerpositionedatthesideofthe
motor,underthebase.
The maintenance operations must be performed always
after disconnecting the machine from the power network.
 
Themaintenanceoperationstobeentrustedtopersonnel authorized
by the manufacturerarethefollowing:
• Blade replacement;
• Sharpener’s emery-wheelss replacement;
• Motor belt tension regulation;
• Motor transmission belt replacement;
• Underbase wiring’s components replacement;
• Visual check of the conditions of the electric power supply cable and the
cable gland on the base of the machine: periodically.
