DetailedbelowarethestepsnecessarytofillthePROINERTcontainerwithIG‐100bypressure:
Connectthevalveoutletandpull25"to27"ofthevacuumtoremoveresidualatmosphereandmoisture.
Fillthecontainerwithnitrogenviathevalveinlet,asdetailedinthetablebelow:

NOTE: Performapreliminaryleakcheckatthecylinder’sneckwithasoapsolution(SwageLokSnooporits
equivalent)onceithasbeenfilledhalfway.Ifaleakisdetected,discontinuethefillforthatparticular
cylinder.
Verifythegasesbyensuringthatthefinalfillpressureisasdetailedaboveat59°F(15°C).Ifrequired,referto
thepressurevs.temperaturechartforIG‐100inAppendixA.2.
Closethevalvebyunscrewingthecentralscrewonthefillingadaptorandremovethetophalfoftheadaptor.
Noticethedowelontheinternalpieceofthefillingadaptormovedownwardsduringthisoperation.
ProceedwithremovingthebottomhalfofthefillingadaptorbyunscrewingthetwoM6setscrews.Remove
thisadaptorfromthevalveandcheckthatthespringwasherhasdroppedlowerthanitsoriginaldepth.
Ventthefillinghoseandcheckthatthereisnoflowfromthevalveoutlet.
FittheValveLockoutAssembly(P/NIG71‐235;Figure4.2.2‐1)ontothevalvepriortoremovingthefilling
hose.
Removethefillinghoseandscrewtherecoilcapontothedischargeoutlet.
Removethevalvelockoutassemblyfromthevalveaftertherecoilcaphasbeenfitted.
Checkthecontainerpressure(Section6).
Oncetestingiscomplete,screwthesh ipping/safetycapontothecylinder.
