Connecttothevalveoutletandpull25"to27"ofthevacuumtoremoveresidualatmosphereandmoisture.
Fillthecontainerviathevalveinletwithargontothepressureindicatedinthetablebelowforthesystem
pressurerequired.
Topoffthecontainerwithnitrogentothefinalfillpressureperthetablebelow.Ifnecessary,refertothe
pressurevs.temperaturechartforIG‐55inAppendixA.2.

Closethevalvebyunscrewingthecentralscrewonthefillingadaptorandremovingthetophalfofthe
adaptor.Thedowelontheinternalpieceofthefillingadaptorshouldmovedownwardduringthisoperation.
ProceedwithremovalofthebottomhalfofthefillingadaptorbyunscrewingthetwoM6capscrews.Remove
thisadaptorfromthevalveandcheckthatthespringwasherhasdroppedlowerthanitsoriginaldepth.
Ventthefillinghoseandcheckthatthereisnoflowfromthevalveoutlet.
Fitthevalvelockoutassembly ontothevalve(Figure4.3.1.‐1)priortoremovingthefillinghose.
Removethefillinghoseandscrewtherecoilcapontothedischargeoutlet.
Removethevalvelockoutassemblyfromthevalveaftertherecoilcaphasbeenfitted.
Proceedtoleakchecking(Section5).
Checkcontainerpressure(Section6).
Oncetestingiscomplete,screwthe
shipping/safetycapontothecylinder.
