TheIG‐100inertgasconsistsof100%nitrogen.
DetailedbelowarethestepsnecessarytofillthePROINERTcontainerwithIG‐100bypressure:
Connectthevalveoutletandpull25"to27"ofthevacuumtoremoveresidualatmosphereandmoisture.
Fillwithnitrogentothepressureindicatedinthetablebelowforsystempressurerequired.Ifrequired,refer
tothepressurevs.temperaturechartforIG‐100inAppendixA.2.

NOTE: Performapreliminaryleakcheckatthecylinder’sneckwithasoapsolution(SwageLokSnoopor
equivalent)onceithasbeenfilledhalfway.Ifaleakisdetected,discontinuethefillforthatparticular
cylinder.
Closethevalvebyunscrewingthecentralscrewonthefillingadaptor,thenremovethetophalfofthe
adaptor.Noticethedowelontheinternalpieceofthefillingadaptormovedownwardsduringthisoperation.
ProceedwithremovingthebottomhalfofthefillingadaptorbyunscrewingthetwoM6setscrews.Remove
thisadaptorfromthevalveandcheckthatthespringwasherhasdroppedlowerthanitsoriginaldepth.
Ventthefillinghoseandcheckthatthereisnoflowfromthevalveoutlet.
Fitthevalvelockoutassembly ontothevalve(Figure4.3.2‐1)priortoremovingthefillinghose.
Removethefillinghoseandscrewtherecoilcapontodischargeoutlet.
Removethevalvelockoutassemblyfromthevalveaftertherecoilcaphasbeenfitted.
Checkthecontainerpressure(Section6).
Oncetestingiscomplete,screwthesh ipping/safetycapontocylinder.
