Configuration
5-53
Select the type of control, where:
TI = integration time (Reset)
Td = derivative time (Rate)
[OFF] = digital display readout
The options are:
n
P (proportional only regulation); set Ti(Reset) to [OFF] and
Td(Rate)
to 0.0.
m PD (proportional/derivative regulation); set Ti(Reset) to [OFF].
n
PI (proportional/integral regulation); set Td(Rate) to 0.0.
n
PID (proportionaf/integral/derivative regulation); set all
parameters.

Note
When gain scheduling is not configured, the PID
parameters in FCODE 39 thru 44 are given the
equivalent values set manually in FCODE 36 thru
38. If gain scheduling is configured, all parameters
must be set, either manually or by autotuning.
The [OFF] selection for Ti (Reset) appears on the digital display after
9999. Since the range values roll over at the high and low ends, it
may be easier to go backwards to reach [OFF], by using the decrease
button to drop below 0000. When [OFF] is selected, the controller
actually stores a value of OFF.
Direct or Reversed Controller Action
The controller is capable of providing both positive and negative gain
in the process control loop. Positive gain means that an increase in
output control signal results in an increase in the process value.
Use FCODE 101 to select the process gain type.
