16.3.2 Assignment of the Transducers and the Temperature Inputs
The position of the transducers and the temperature inputs can be assigned in accordance with the application.
Select Special Funct.\SYSTEM settings\Proc. inputs\Link temperature.
16.3.3 Input of a Constant Temperature
If the supply or return temperature is known and constant during the whole measurement, this temperature can be entered
in the transmitter.
The temperature inputs are configured as follows:
The constant value of the temperature is entered before the start of the measurement in the program branch Measuring
(see section 16.4).
16.3.4 Defining the Physical Quantity and of the Unit of Measurement
Select program branch Output Options.
In case of a heating application, select heat, in case of a cooling application, select
chill. Press ENTER.
Select return if the transducers are mounted on the return line or supply if the transduc-
ers are mounted on the supply line. Press ENTER.
Select sign if the sign of the heat flow is to be considered, absolute if only the absolute
value of the heat flow is to be displayed. Press ENTER.
Select the temperature input to be assigned to the supply temperature. Press ENTER.
Select the temperature input to be assigned to the return temperature.
Press ENTER.
Note! A constant temperature should be entered if, e.g., the supply temperature can only be measured with
difficulty but is known and constant.
Select Special Funct.\SYSTEM settings\Proc. inputs\Link temperature.
Press ENTER.
Select the list item Fixed input val. if the supply temperature is known and constant.
Press ENTER.
Select the list item Fixed input val. if the return temperature is known and constant.
Press ENTER.
Repeat the steps for all measuring channels on which a measurement is being conducted.
Select the measuring channel on which the heat flow is to be measured (the channel to
which the temperature inputs have been assigned). Press ENTER.
This display will not be indicated if the transmitter has only one measuring channel.
Select Thermal energy as the physical quantity. Press ENTER.
Select the unit of measurement to be used for the heat flow.
