3.3.10 MENU 9 - PULSE OUTPUT
One transistor or mechanic relay output is available as a scaled pulse output according to
accumulated total.

PULSE OUTPUT
9.1
MODE
The unit has two pulse outputs. The relation of the outputs and the
measured total and the flow direction can be set as follows.
Pulse output R1:
Pulse output R2:
SIGNED
Pulse when total has increased or
decreased with quantity set at Setup
9.4 AMOUNT.
Low when flow is positive (total
increases)
High when flow is negative (total
decreases)
NOT NEGATIVE
Pulse when total has increased with
quantity set at Setup 9.4 AMOUNT.
Low when flow is positive
High when flow is negative
SEPARATED
Pulse when total has increased with
quantity set at Setup 9.4 AMOUNT.
Pulse when total has decreased with
quantity set at Setup 9.4 AMOUNT.

WIDTH
The pulse width determines the time that the output will be active; in other

The pulse signal always has a 50% duty cycle, hence the minimum time
between the pulses is equal to the pulse width setting. If the frequency

It might be that pulses will be missed due to a buffer-overflow, so it is
advised to program this setting within its range!
9.3
DECIMALS
This setting is used to set the number of digits behind the decimal point for
Setup 9.4 AMOUNT.
9.4
AMOUNT
Enter a quantity to be used with Setup 9.1 MODE. The number of decimals
is set at 9.3 DECIMALS.
3.3.11 MENU A - COMMUNICATION (OPTION)
The F116-P can optionally be equipped with a communication interface using the Modbus protocol
(Type CB/CH/CI/CT). Please consult Appendix C for a more detailed explanation of the protocol,
data types and available registers.

COMMUNICATION
A.1
SPEED
This setting is used to set the baud rate and should match the speed used
on the communications bus.
The following communication speeds can be selected:
1200 2400 4800 9600
A.2
ADDRESS
This setting is used to configure the bus address of your device on the
communications bus. This address can vary from 001-255.
A.3
MODE
This setting is used to configure the Modbus communication mode of your
device on the communications bus.
The following modes can be selected: ASCII RTU OFF

MODEL
For support and maintenance it is important to have information about the
characteristics of the F116-P. Your supplier will ask for this information in
the case of a serious breakdown or to assess the suitability of your model
for upgrade considerations.
