Note:
Check the oil level before
starting the engine.
Note:
Make sure the vehicle is on
level ground.
Note:
Oil expands when it is hot. The
level may therefore extend a few
millimetres beyond the MAX mark.
Remove the dipstick and wipe it with
a clean, lint free cloth. Replace the
dipstick and remove it again to check
the oil level.
Make sure that the oil level is
between the MIN and the MAX
marks. If it is, you do not need to top
up. If it is at the MIN mark, top up
immediately.
Topping up the oil

WARNING
Do not remove the oil filler cap
when the engine is running.
Remove the oil filler cap.
WARNING
Do not top up further than the
MAX mark.
Top up with oil that meets the Ford
specification. See Technical
specifications (page 122).
Replace the oil filler cap. Turn it until
you feel a strong resistance.
