Configuration overview
1. Go to Contact > Business or Directory.
2. Press the Search soft key.
3.
Enter part of a name to search for. If you want to enter part of number, access the soft key.
As you enter letters or numbers, the list filters the contacts.
Personal
Contact > Personal allows you to add, edit, delete, and search personal contacts.
To add or edit a personal contact, the phone system requires that you enter the voicemail
PINfor your extension.
To add a personal contact
1. Go to Contact > Personal.
2. Press the Add soft key.
3. Enter a Display Name.
4. Enter a Main Number.
5. Optionally, enter a Mobile Number and Home Number.
6. Press the OK soft key.
7. Enter the voicemail PINfor your extension.
8. Press the OK soft key.
To add pauses to a personal contact phone number
The FON-x80/x80B series IP phone models support the use of two-second pauses (with a comma) and one-second
pauses (with a semicolon) in your personal contact phone numbers. Let's say that you frequently call a company at 1-
800-567-0987, wait for the prompt and then enter extension 1001. Using this example, you would create a personal
contact for 18005670987,,1001. When you select that contact, the phone calls 1-800-567-0987, pauses for 4 seconds
and then automatically enters 1001 for the extension.
1. Go to Contact > Personal.
2. Press the Add soft key.
3. Enter a Display Name.
4. Enter a Main Number including pauses and an extension or other menu item that you want the phone to
automatically dial.

To add a two-second pause, select and then press the number 0 key twice to add a comma (, ).

To add a one-second pause, select and then press the number 1 key twice to add a semicolon (; ).
5. Optionally, enter a Mobile Number and Home Number.
6. Press the OK soft key.
7. Enter the voicemail PINfor your extension.
8. Press the OK soft key.
To edit a personal contact
1. Go to Contact > Personal.
2. Select the contact that you want to edit.
