Symptom Corrective action
c. Make sure that the MAC address and phone model are correct.
You cannot edit a MAC address and phone model after you
have saved a phone entry.
d. If the MAC address or phone model, or both are incorrect:
i. Delete the phone entry.
ii. Add a new phone entry.
iii. Select the new phone entry and go to Action > Assign to Existing
Extension.
iv. Follow the prompts to complete the assignment of the phone to the
extension.
5. To reboot the phone, go to Tool > Reboot and press OK.
6. If the phone is configured as an external extension:
a. Make sure that the Provisioning server is correct under Setting > Provisioning.
b. Check the network connection and firewall settings at the phone system
location.
No audio during a call 1. Check the handset and headset connections.
2. Make sure that the phone is properly registered with the phone system.
3. If your phone is configured as an external extension, check the network connection
and firewall settings at the phone system location.

Collecting a traffic capture
To help you troubleshoot issues with a FON-x80/x80B series IP phone, you can collect a traffic capture.
Before you begin

To collect a traffic capture, you have access to a web browser installed on a computer that is on the same network
as the registered FON-x80/x80B series IP phone. See Recommended web browser versions on page 41.
l
To view a traffic capture file, you have access to a network protocol analyzer software (such as Wireshark).
