Configuring a FRITZ!Repeater Password
Overview
A password protects your FRITZ!Repeater from unauthorized access
even when there is no connection to the home network of the FRITZ!
Box.
Rules for Passwords
Select a password with at least twelve characters, which includes
capitals and lower-case letters as well as numerals and special
characters.
Characters allowed Illegal characters
The letter ßLetters from a to z in lower case
and upper case
Umlauts ä, ö, ü in upper and low-
er case
Numerals 0 to 9
Spaces
Special characters: _ - ! " # $ % &
’ ( ) * + , . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ ‘ { | }
~
Special characters: § ´
Configure the “Forgot password” push service. The push service.
sends you an email with an access link which you can use to assign
a new password for your FRITZ!Repeater.
Important
If you forget your FRITZ!Repeater password and did not configure the
“Forgotpassword” push service, you will have to restore the factory
settings to the FRITZ!Repeater.
