Restoring Factory Settings to the FRITZ!Repeater
Overview
You can restore the factory settings to the FRITZ!Repeater.
Application Example
Reset the FRITZ!Repeater in the following cases, for instance:
You forgot the password for the FRITZ!Repeater user interface.
You want to establish a LAN connection to the FRITZ!Box or switch
the type of connection from LAN to Wi-Fi.
The FRITZ!Repeater is to be operated on a different FRITZ!Box or
another router.
The FRITZ!Repeater is to be passed on to other users.
The FRITZ!Repeater is to be disposed of.
Consequences of Resetting
All of the settings are reset to the preconfigured values. The in-
stalled version of FRITZ!OS remains intact.
The repeater name is reset to fritz.repeater.
The FRITZ!Repeater password is reset to the preconfigured pass-
word.
Instructions: Restoring Factory Settings to the FRITZ!Repeater at the Touch of
a Button
1. Connect the cable of the power adapter included with delivery to
the “Power” socket on the FRITZ!Repeater and insert the power
adapter into an outlet.
2. Wait about 1 minute until the FRITZ!Repeater starts.
3. Press and hold the button on the FRITZ!Repeater for at least 15
seconds.
