3. If a new update is available, the “PerformUpdate” button is
shown next to the FRITZ!Repeater. Start the update and wait until
“Update” was successful appears.
Instructions: Updating FRITZ!OS without an Internet Connection
1. On a computer with an internet connection, enter the following
address in the browser: ftp.avm.de
2. Navigate through the following folders: “fritzwlan / your FRITZ!
Repeater model / your country / fritz.os”.
3. Download the FRITZ!OS file with the file extension “.image” and
save it to a location which you can access via the user interface
of your FRITZ!Repeater, for instance, to a USB storage medium.
4. Open the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater on a computer
that's connected with the FRITZ!Repeater; see page44
5. Select “System / Update / FRITZ!OS File”.
6. Click on the Browse button and select the downloaded file.
7. Click on “Start Update”.
Instructions: Configuring Automatic Updates in FRITZ!Box (Mesh)
If the FRITZ!Repeater is located in the Mesh of a FRITZ!Box, configure
automatic updates in the FRITZ!Box:
1. Open the FRITZ!Box user interface. In the browser, enter the ad-
dress http://fritz.box.
2. Select “System / Update / Auto Update”.
3. For instructions, open the online help .
