Function tests
Function Carry out function test as described in the test schedule PP-SER-9001-PC. The test must
only be carried out on the test station.
- All housing components, insulation components and protective covers must be pres-
ent and undamaged
- Check that all screw connection torques are correct
Switch the battery charging system back on again.
- Check the characteristics and settings
- Perform a short circuit test such as open circuit, nothing should happen
- Connect charger leads to wrong poles battery charging system must indicate po-
larity reversal
Mains power on/
off equipment
Evidence of proper operation must be provided by measurement or visual inspection.
AC and DC disconnection inspection (performed under no load)
- AC disconnection battery charging system must switch off
- DC disconnection battery charging system must stop charging
- Switch on AC and DC
The correct operation of the indicators and controls must be checked.

- Check display for correct function
- Check that controls work in line with the operating instructions
