Description of
controls
(1) Mains switch
(2) Operational readiness indicator
- flashes when the machine is in the "Setup menu"
- lights up when the mains switch is shifted to “1”
(3) Welding current dial ... for continuous adjustment of the welding current
Important! If the TP 2000 R.C. welding machine is used with a remote-control unit, then
it is only possible to adjust the welding current on this r.c. unit. The maximum welding
current that can be selected is indicated by the welding dial on the machine (3) .
(4) Malfunction indicator
- flashes when the mains voltage is outside the tolerance range
- lights up when the unit is thermally overloaded (i.e. overheats)
(5) Arc-force dial ... for influencing the amperage of the short-circuit current at the
instant of droplet transfer (setting range: 0-100 A)
(6) TIG welding indicator ... lights up when the arc-force dial (5) is set to "TIG welding"
(turned completely anticlockwise)
(A) (+) - Current socket with bayonet latch ... for connecting:
- Manual electrode or earthing cable for manual electrode welding (depending on
type of electrode)
- Earthing cable for TIG welding
(B) (-) - Current socket with bayonet latch ... for connecting:
- Manual electrode or earthing cable for manual electrode welding (depending on
type of electrode)
- Welding torch for TIG welding (current connection)
(C) Remote-control connection socket (only on TP 2000 R.C.) ... for connecting up a
TR 2000 / TR 4000 remote-control unit
