Notebook: transporting
Protect t he no tebook from severe shocks and ext reme temperature s
(e.g. direct sunlight in a car).
► If your device has an optical drive, remove all data media ( e.g. CD, DVD) from the drives.

► Sw itch the notebo ok off.
► U nplug the mains adapter an d all external devices from the powe r socket.
► D isconnect the mains adapter cable and the data cables for all external d evices.
► C lose the LCD screen.
► To protect against damaging jolts and bumps, use a notebook carrying
case to transport your notebook.
Cleaning the notebo

Do not clean any interior parts yourself; leave this job to a service technician.
Only use cleaning p rod ucts designed for computers. Normal ho usehold
cleaners and polishes can d amage the markings on the keyboard and the
device, the paintwork or th e no tebook itself.
Ensure that no liquid enters the n otebook.
The LCD screen very sensitive to scratche s. Only clean the display
surface with a very soft, slightly damp cloth.

adaptor and remove the battery (see "
Removing and installing the battery", Page 30).

been moiste
ned in mild domestic detergen t and then carefully wrung out.
To clean the keyboard and the touchpa d, if available, you can use disinfectant w ipe s.
