Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator
If you connect the notebook to the Port Replicat or during operation, problems can
occur. We recommend that you switch off the notebook be foreha nd.
The mains adapter must be connected to the Port Replicator when t he
notebook is connected to the Port Replicator.
We recommend that the notebook is not operated with the LCD monitor closed when
the notebook is connected to the Port Rep licator. The resulting o verheating can
cause reduced p erformance and increased activity of the integrate d fan.
PortReplic ato r
► Sw itch the notebo ok off.
► R emove the p ower plug of the mains adapter from the mains socket.
► D isconnect the mains adapter cable from the D C socket (DC IN) of the notebook.

► Position the notebook so that it is in line with the back edge of the Port Replicator.
► Push the notebook onto the Port Replicator in the direction of the arrow
(1) until you notice it engage.
