Working with the notebook
Removing the c ard
Always remove the card accord ing to the rules described below, to
ensure that none of your d ata is lost.
You can stop the Expre ssCard using th e corresp onding symbol in the task bar:
Click on the symbol for safe removal of hardware with the left mouse button.
SelecttheExpressCardyouwanttostopandremove.
Press th e Enter k ey.
Wait for the dialogue box w hich tells you that it is now safe to remove the ExpressCard.

Press the edge of the card (1) so that the
card protrudes a little from the notebook.
Pull the card out of the slot (2).

Insert the card placeholder into the
slot guide.
Gently slide the card placeholder into the
slot until you feel it click into place.

If you a
ttach an ext ernal microphone, the built-in microphone is disabled.
When yo
u connect headphones or external speakers, th e built-in speake rs are disabled.
