fi-5900C & fi-5950 CONSUMABLE REPLACEMENT AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
CLEANING THE ROLLERS WITH THE CLEANING SHEETS
The cleaning sheets are designed to remove only loose paper dust and ink
from the rollers. Use them approximately every 10,000 sheets scanned.
They are to be used in between the thorough cleanings of the scanner.
Using the cleaning sheets does not take the place of the more com-
plete cleanings described later in this section
 Open the Pre-Imprinter Cover
 While pressing the Scanner
SCAN BUTTON
Scan
, press the
POWER BUTTON to turn the
scanner on.
Note:
The scanner Function Number
Display will display the items
to the right.
 Stop pressing the SCAN BUTTON.
 Close the Pre-Imprinter Cover.
• Set the Hopper Guides to the
B4 width.
• Pull out the Stacker
Extension and adjust it to the
length of the cleaning sheet.
• Turn off the scanner.
• Access the Offline Feed Test by following the steps below.
