      Automatic paper size detection may fail if the scanner's components are dirty. Clean the dirty locations as instructed in the Operator's Guide "2. Daily Care". Make sure that the document cover is closed. If the document is not rectangular or square, or if a corner is folded, the scanner may not detect the size correctly. Specify the area to scan in the driver setting window manually and scan it again. The scanner may also fail if the document has dark-colored edges.
