Status indicators Description
Wireless components indicator
• The indicator is lit: T he wireless compo nents are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: The wireless components are switche d off.

• The indicator is lit: The noteboo k is switched on.
• The indicator flashes: The notebook is
in standby mode.
• The indicator is not lit: The notebook is switched off.
Battery charging indicator/power connector
The state of charge of the battery is shown by the battery indicator.
With mains adapter conn ected:
• The indicator lights up blue: The battery is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charging.
• The indicator flashes orange: An error has occurred. The battery
cannot be charged.
• The indicator is o ff: The system is in battery mode and the mains
adapter is not c onne cted or the battery is not installed.

Drive in dicator
DriveIndicator
The indicator is lit: One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being
accessed.
Num L ock indicator

Num
key has been pressed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lo ck indicator
IndicatorCapsLock
The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case o f overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will a ppear when that key
is pre ssed.
