Status indicators Description
Wireless comp on ents indicator
• The indicator is lit: The wireless components are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: The wireless components a re switched off.
Power-on indicator/Standby

• The indicator flashes: The n
otebook is in standby mode.
• The indicator is not lit: The notebook is switched off.
Battery charging indicator/power connector
The state of charge of the battery is shown by the battery indicator.
Without the m ains adapter con nect ed:
• Indicator is off: Th e system is in battery operation.
• The indicator flashes orange: The battery charge is less than 12%.
With mains adapter conn ecte d:
• The indicator lights up blue: The battery is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charging.
• Indicator flashes purple: a fault h as occurred. The ba ttery cannot be
recharged.
• Indicator is off: There is no battery installed.

The indicator is lit: One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being
accessed.
Num Lock indicator

Num
key has been pressed . The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in up per case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key
is pressed.
