Connecting an external monitor
You can connect a n external m onitor to the analogue VG A monitor connection of the
notebook. Screen output is limited to a maximum of two screens at any one time (see
"
Key combinations", Page 23, section "Toggle output screen").

► Sw itch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► C onnect th e data cable of the external monitor to the monitor port of the not ebook.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also use a key combination to switch back and f orth between the externa l
monitor and the noteb ook’s LCD screen, see chapter "
Key combinations", Page 23.
You can display the same p icture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.

The HDMI port on your notebook can be used to connect an e xternal amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
