Switching on the notebook
► Open the LCD screen.

► Press the ON /OF F switch for about one
second to switch th e notebook on.

Back up your data and close all applications before you switch off your
device. Otherw ise data might be lost.
► Shut down the ope
rating system correctly.

automatically, press the ON/OFF switch

Buttons
The keyboard of your notebook is subject to continuous wear through normal
use. The key markings are especially prone to wear. The key markings are
liable to wear away over the life of the notebook.
The keyboard has been designed to provide all the functions of an e nhanced keyboard.
Some enhanced keyboard functions are mapped with key combinations.
The following description of keys refers to W indows. Additional functions support ed by the keys
are de scribed in the relevant m anuals supplied with your application pro grams.
The figure below shows how to access the different characters on ke ys with overlaid functions.
The exa mple applies when the Caps Lock key has not been activated.
