CMOS battery bad
If the error message occurs repeatedly, the
buffer battery in th e notebook is flat.

System CMOS checksum bad - default configuration
used
The system configuration information is
incorrect.
► Sw itch the note book off.
► Sw itch the note book on.
► Press the function key

BIOS Setup.
► In the BIOS Setup, select the Exit menu.
► Se lect th e entry Load Se
tup Defaults.
► Select OK and press the Enter key.
Extended memo r y failed at offse t: xxxx Failing Bits:

When testing the extended memory an error has
resulted at the address xxxx.
► C heck whether the additional me m ory
module has been inserted correctly.
Failure Fixed Disk n
The settings of the hard disk drive are incorrect.
► Start the BIOS Setup (Primary Master
submenu) and select the correct sett ings.
Keyboard controller error
► Sw itch the notebook o ff with the ON/OFF
switch.
► Wait 3 - 5 seconds and switch o n the
notebook again.
Keyboard error
If you are using an external keyboard :
► C heck the connection and reboot the
notebook.

► M ake sure that no key is pressed.
Operating system not found
► C heck in th
e BIOS Setup whether your hard
disk has b
een set correctly.
► Make sure that t h e operating system is
installed on the corresponding drive.
Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to SETUP
This error message appears if an error occurs
during the s elf-test before starting the operating
system.
