Radio device, health a nd auth orisation for use
Radio-frequency electromagnetic e nergy is emitted from the w ireless devices. The energy levels
of the se emissions, however, are far much less than t he electromagnetic energy emissions from
wireless de vices such as mobile phones. Radio devices are safe for use by co nsu mers because
they operate within the guidelines found in radio frequency safety standards and recommendations.
The use of the radio devices may be r estricted in some situations or environments, such as:

• in an explosive environment, or
• in situations where the interference risk to other d evices or services is
