USB port with charging function (Anytime USB charge)
USBchargingfunction
It is re commended that the n otebook be operated with the po wer supply connected
whenever the USB p ort with charging function is in use, as this function will drain
the batte ry more quickly if an external U SB device is being charged.
The po wer supply un it must already be connected when the notebook is
switched off, as otherwise the USB charging function will be disabled and
the connecte d U SB devices will not be charged.
Some USB devices (e.g. mobile telephones) require a d river in ord er to utilise the
USB cha rging function. In this case the USB charging fu nction will not work when the
notebook is switched off, as no drivers are active when the notebook is switched off.
You can use this
USB port to charge or supply power to a USB device (e.g. to charge a PDA
or a mobile phon
e or to connect a USB lamp), even if the noteboo k is switched off.
